Audio Terms and Basic Information

This is where we can discuss simple setups for the Behringer X32 Rack. Don't be embarrassed, nothing is too easy to discuss and there is NEVER a dumb question. The worst thing you can do is not be honest concerning your experience. Remember, we all had to start somewhere and we are just glad you made a decision to start here!

Audio Terms and Basic Information

Post by Dana »

Hey guys and gals, this is a short 5 page beginners guide concerning digital mixers, audio terms and some audio do's and don'ts. It is in a pdf format and can be downloaded and printed for your convenience.

This information is written for new users of the X32 series mixers or someone with no audio mixing experience at all. This information can also be very informative for anyone switching from a analog mixer to a digital mixer. Item number 1 and 2 are the first two steps that should be taken for any digital mixer. The rest of the numbered items are in no particular order.

READ YOUR USER MANUAL! There is so much information you will need to know before you will become proficient with the X32 or any audio gear and by reading your user manual, you will get familiar with some of the audio terms as well as basic routing/cabling configurations. This is your homework and if you choose not to do it, you will only be hurting yourself and the ones you serve.
